EDITORS COMMENTS
October 14,2003, will forever be remembered as a historic day in Rangers Football Club's history, as they achieved a record-breaking 14-1 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park. This stunning result saw Rangers set a new Scottish Premier League record for the most goals scored in a single league game, surpassing the previous record of 13 goals, which was also scored against Motherwell back in 1955. In this iconic photo, Rangers manager Alex McLeish celebrates with his team after the final whistle, as they bask in the glory of their remarkable achievement. McLeish, who led Rangers to three league titles during his tenure, is seen here in high spirits, with a broad smile on his face, reflecting the joy and excitement of the moment. At the heart of the Rangers attack was Craig Moore, who scored an impressive hat-trick in this game. Moore, who spent seven years at Ibrox, is seen here in the foreground, surrounded by his teammates, as they lift him up in a jubilant display of team spirit and camaraderie. The Motherwell players, meanwhile, look on in disbelief as they try to come to terms with the scale of their defeat. The scoreline was a harsh reminder of the gulf in class between the two teams, with Rangers dominating possession and creating chance after chance, leaving Motherwell's defense in disarray. This photo captures the raw emotion and excitement of a moment that will live long in the memory of Rangers fans, as their team etched their names into the history books with a performance that will be talked about for generations to come.
