Great moment in Rangers Football Club history captured in this stunning photograph: Madjid Bougherra's goal against Portsmouth at Fratton Park in a pre-season friendly, August 2008. The Algerian international defender scored a brilliant volley from the edge of the box, leaving the Portsmouth goalkeeper with no chance. The goal was a morale-boosting moment for the Rangers squad, who were preparing for the upcoming Scottish Premier League season. Bougherra, who had joined Rangers the previous year, had already shown glimpses of his quality, but this goal announced his arrival as a key player for the club. The goal was a team effort, with Lee McCulloch providing the cross from the right wing. The crowd went wild as the ball hit the back of the net, and the celebrations began.
