Great Scott, take a trip down memory lane with this stunning photograph capturing the moment Steven Naismith etched his name into Rangers Football Club history. Taken by renowned Scottish football photographer Lynne Cameron during the Clydesdale Bank Premier League match between Rangers and Gretna in the 2007-08 season, this image immortalizes Naismith's brilliant performance that left the opposition reeling. Naismith, then a young and ambitious player, had only joined Rangers the previous summer from Kilmarnock. But he quickly proved himself to be a valuable addition to the squad, scoring crucial goals and displaying an impressive work rate. In this particular game against Gretna, he was simply unstoppable. The photograph shows Naismith in full flight, bursting past a defender with the ball at his feet, his determination and focus evident in his steely gaze. The Gretna defender, seemingly outmaneuvered, can only watch in disbelief as Naismith charges towards goal. The crowd at Ibrox Stadium roars in approval, their excitement palpable in the air.
