Great Scott, what a night it was when Rangers took on Falkirk in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League back in season 07-08! The air was electric at Ibrox as the home team prepared to take on their rivals. The atmosphere was palpable, with the sound of bagpipes echoing through the stadium and the scent of hot dogs and chips wafting through the air. But the real action was about to begin on the pitch. As the whistle blew to signal the start of the match, Rangers players charged forward with determination and focus. One player in particular, Alan Hutton, was ready to make his mark. The full-back had been in fine form all season, and this match was no exception. In the 23rd minute, Hutton made a stunning run down the right wing, leaving Falkirk defenders in his wake. With a deft cross into the box, he found Kenny Miller, who headed the ball home to put Rangers up 1-0. The crowd went wild, and Hutton's confidence soared. The second half saw Rangers continue to dominate, with Hutton once again at the heart of the action. In the 57th minute, he set up Sasa Papac for a powerful header, making it 2-0. And just five minutes later, Hutton scored a stunning goal of his own, curling a beautiful shot into the top corner of the net. Falkirk tried to mount a comeback, but Rangers were in no mood to let them have their way. In the 75th minute, Miller added his second of the night, and substitute Nacho Novo made it 5-0 in the 83rd. Falkirk managed to grab a couple of consolation goals late on, but it was Rangers who had the last laugh, with Hutton providing the assist for Novo's second goal in stoppage time to make it 7-2. As the final whistle blew, the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. Alan Hutton's unforgettable performance had helped Rangers secure a comprehensive victory, and the memories of that night would live on in the hearts and minds of the fans for years to come.
