The Old Firm derby, as this fiercely contested Glasgow football rivalry is known, had reached its climax, with the Cup final providing the stage for another thrilling chapter in the storied rivalry between these two iconic Scottish clubs. The tension was palpable as the teams took to the field that day, with both sets of fans eagerly anticipating a battle for supremacy. The first half saw few clear-cut chances, but the intensity never waned, with both sides giving their all in pursuit of victory. As the second half began, it seemed as though the match was destined for a draw, with neither team able to find the breakthrough. But then, in the 85th minute, Rangers were awarded a penalty, and Alexander Rose stepped up to take it.
