The poster shows a couple relaxing on the beach, looking at a dog which holds a spade in its mouth. Artwork by Frank Newbould (1887-1951), who studied at Bradford College of Art and joined the War Office in 1942. He also designed posters for the GWR (Great Western Railway), Orient Line and Belgian Railways
