This powerful and poignant image captures the moment of honor and appreciation as Scottish soldiers from the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and Royal Highland Fusiliers regiments were welcomed home during half-time at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow. The Clydesdale Premier League match between Rangers FC and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, during the 2008-09 season, became a special occasion as these brave men and women, who had returned from their tours of duty in Afghanistan, took to the pitch to the thunderous applause and cheers of the crowd.
