In this poignant moment captured by Lynne Cameron during the Clydesdale Bank Premier League match between Motherwell and Rangers in season 07-08, both teams come together to pay tribute to the late Tommy Burns. Tommy Burns, a beloved figure in Scottish football, passed away on February 11, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Burns spent the majority of his playing career at Motherwell, making over 300 appearances for the Steelmen between 1962 and 1971. He later managed Motherwell from 1987 to 1991 and Rangers from 1997 to 1999. The moment depicted in the photograph is a minutes applause held in Burns' memory before the kick-off of the match.
