EDITORS COMMENTS
Great photo capturing the moment of triumph for Kris Boyd as he celebrates scoring the second goal for Rangers in their thrilling 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock during the 2008-2009 Scottish Premier League season. The atmosphere at Ibrox Stadium is electric as Boyd lifts his arms in jubilation, surrounded by his teammates and the passionate Rangers fans. Boyd's brace proved to be the difference in a closely contested match, with Kilmarnock putting up a valiant effort to challenge the league leaders. The first half ended in a stalemate, but the second half saw Rangers step up their game, with Boyd finding the back of the net twice in quick succession. The first goal came in the 53rd minute, following a brilliant team effort that involved intricate passing and a well-timed run from Boyd. The second goal, just 10 minutes later, was a result of Boyd's predatory instincts, as he pounced on a loose ball in the box and finished clinically. Despite Kilmarnock's best efforts to mount a comeback, Rangers held on to secure a hard-fought win. Boyd's brace not only boosted Rangers' morale but also kept them at the top of the league table, cementing their position as title contenders. This iconic moment in Rangers' history is beautifully captured in this photo by Lynne Cameron, a testament to the passion, determination, and skill that defines Scottish football.
