Bob began sketching soccer stories over fifty years ago, for Fleetway Comics
in London and occasionally for Scottish Publishers DC Thomson. Bob has
been drawing picture-strips and caricatures of footballers ever since!
Now living on the Sussex Coast, he tells his wife he has retired, but secretly
still draws match cartoons at Brighton and Hove Albion.
He has recently done comic-strip histories in book form of several of the
bigger English clubs, and would love to do a similar one of Rangers, his
favourite Scottish team. Bob follows Preston North End from afar

Meet Bob, a devoted football fan and a skilled caricaturist, whose passion for the beautiful game began over five decades ago. With a pencil in hand, Bob started sketching soccer stories for renowned London-based publishers, Fleetway Comics, and occasionally for Scottish Publishers DC Thomson. Over the years, he has honed his craft, creating picture-strips and caricatures of beloved footballers that brought joy and laughter to readers. Now residing on the Sussex Coast, Bob may have retired from his day job, but his dedication to football remains undeterred. He continues to draw match cartoons at Brighton and Hove Albion, fueled by his unwavering love for the sport. Bob's extensive body of work includes comic-strip histories of some of the biggest English football clubs. His heart, however, belongs to Rangers, his favorite Scottish team. Despite the distance, Bob remains a dedicated fan of Preston North End, following their progress from afar. Each line he draws and each caricature he creates is a testament to his enduring passion for football and the art of storytelling.
