EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative photograph, Rangers Football Club legends Jim Forrest, Eric Caldow, Davie Wilson, Harold Davis, Johnny Hubbard, and Bobby Brown come together at Ibrox Stadium to mark the club's 140th anniversary. The occasion was a Rangers home game against Stirling Albion, with the legends taking to the pitch during half time to the delight of the adoring fans. These footballing greats, who graced the pitch in previous seasons, were an integral part of Rangers' rich history. Jim Forrest, a Scottish international winger, made his debut for the club in 1952 and went on to make over 350 appearances. Eric Caldow, a versatile defender, joined Rangers in 1955 and was a key figure in the team that won the Scottish League title in 1959. Davie Wilson, a Scottish international midfielder, spent over a decade at Ibrox between 1964 and 1975, making over 400 appearances and scoring 43 goals. Harold Davis, a Scottish international striker, joined Rangers in 1958 and was a prolific goalscorer, netting over 100 goals in just under 200 appearances. Johnny Hubbard, a Scottish international forward, made his Rangers debut in 1962 and went on to score 32 goals in 122 appearances. Bobby Brown, a Scottish international striker, joined Rangers in 1966 and was a key figure in the team that won the Scottish League title in 1967. As the legends walked out onto the hallowed turf of Ibrox Stadium, the crowd erupted in applause, transported back in time to the glory days of Rangers Football Club. This photograph captures a moment of pure nostalgia and the enduring passion that exists between the club and its supporters.
