Great moment in Rangers Football Club history captured in this stunning photograph by Kirk O'Rourke: Steven Davis scores the lone goal in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium during the 09-10 season. The Northern Irish international midfielder's goal, which came in the second half, proved to be the difference between the two teams in this intense and highly-contested Scottish Premiership match. The atmosphere at Pittodrie Stadium was electric, with both sets of fans creating a cacophony of noise that could be felt throughout the ground. The first half saw numerous chances created by both teams, but it was goalkeepers Allan McGregor for Rangers and Derek Riordan for Aberdeen who kept their sides in the game with some impressive saves. As the second half began, it was clear that the stalemate was not going to last long. In the 55th minute, Davis received the ball just outside the Aberdeen penalty area. With quick footwork and a deft touch, he created enough space to unleash a powerful shot that flew past Riordan and into the back of the net. The Rangers fans erupted in jubilation, while the Aberdeen supporters were left stunned. Despite late pressure from the home team, Rangers held on for the win, securing three valuable points in their quest for the Scottish Premiership title.
