The Co-operative Cup, also known as the Scottish League Cup, is one of the most prestigious domestic competitions in Scottish football. The annual tournament features teams from the Scottish Professional Football League and is contested over two legs. The 2011 final was a highly anticipated match between two of the most successful and storied clubs in Scottish football history. The first leg ended in a goalless draw, setting the stage for an exciting second leg at Ibrox Stadium. In front of a passionate home crowd, Rangers took the lead through a goal by Nikica Jelavic in the first half. Celtic equalized late in the game, sending the match into extra time. However, Rangers refused to be denied and pushed forward in search of a winner.
