Allan Pinkerton, known as the "father of private detective agency," was a pioneer in the field of criminal investigation. Born in Scotland in 1819, Pinkerton immigrated to America and eventually founded the Pinkerton National Detective Agency. Pinkerton's keen investigative skills and innovative techniques revolutionized law enforcement during his time. He played a crucial role in solving numerous high-profile cases, including foiling an assassination attempt on President Abraham Lincoln. Beyond his work as a detective, Pinkerton was also a staunch abolitionist and supporter of women's rights.
