This hoof belonged to Jubilee, the horse ridden by Captain Arthur Shakespear, 3rd Regiment of Dragoons and 10th Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Hussars), at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Shakespear, the son of John Shakespear and Mary (nee Drummond), was ADC to Lord Combermere; he was married to Sophia, daughter of Thomass D Bucknal.
