Orca Killer Whale Collection

Orca Killer Whales, also known as Orcas, are the largest species of dolphins and are found in all oceans around the world. They have a distinctive black and white coloration with a large white patch on their heads. Orcas have an average life span of 50 to 80 years and can reach lengths of up to 32 feet (9.8 m) and weigh up to 6 tons (5443 kg). They feed mainly on fish, squid, octopus, sea lions, seals, sharks and even whales. Orcas live in family groups called pods that typically consist of 5-30 individuals. These animals communicate through a variety of vocalizations including clicks and whistles which they use for navigation as well as communication within their pod, and are highly intelligent mammals with complex social behavior that includes cooperative hunting techniques among members of their pod. Orcas are apex predators at the top of the food chain which makes them important for maintaining balance in ocean ecosystems around the world.
